Ros Bailey’s journey into metal clay began with a simple thought:
“It can’t be rocket science.”

Based in rural Australia, Ros was introduced to metal clay through a close friend and accomplished artist, Kim Booklass. What started as a casual conversation about the lack of locally made metal clays quickly turned into hands-on experimentation — and the beginnings of something much bigger.

Originally created to support one artist’s creative needs, demand for high-quality, Australian-made metal clay soon grew, and Aussie Metal Clays was born.

Driven by a passion for innovation and quality, Ros developed a versatile range of metal clays — including base metals, fine silver, sterling silver, and Argentium — giving artists greater freedom and confidence in their work. A successful Kickstarter campaign later introduced Aussie Metal Clays to a global community of makers.

Today, Aussie Metal Clays remains committed to supporting artists through continual refinement, feedback, and innovation.
